Taking Healthcare Where It Was Needed Most

In September 2025, flooding in areas near Bahawalpur disrupted access to essential healthcare and made it difficult for affected families to reach hospitals and medical facilities. Displacement, damaged roads, and difficult travel conditions created additional barriers to treatment.

Bringing Medical Care to Communities

Fatih Foundation deployed its Mobile Health Unit to reach communities affected by the floods. Medical teams travelled directly to areas where access to healthcare had been disrupted, providing consultations, treatment, medicines, and first aid.

Over the course of one week, more than 5,000 people were treated through the mobile health response. The medical team worked to provide accessible care to families facing both the consequences of flooding and the challenges of displacement.

Care During an Emergency

For many flood-affected families, travelling to a hospital was not a practical option. By taking medical services directly into affected communities, the mobile unit helped reduce this burden and allowed patients to receive timely attention closer to where they were staying.

The provision of medicines and first aid further supported patients dealing with immediate health concerns during the emergency.
